Med. Height Windshields

yup i agree, i ordered the low one, just seems like it will deflect the wind up a bit more. Once they come out with a descent lookin med. windshield i'll pick one up. Thanks for ur input guys!!

My '07 Apex ER came with the medium windshield standard. Looks great, gives a lot of protection. I never get cold. I'm 6'7". Look at that drive-in movie screen on my '87 VLV - now THAT'S protection!!!

I put some handguards on and it did feel a bit warmer !

Iceman that was not my sled. I was learning how to use the avt and took A pic from the 4 stroke forumn. I since took it off and will take a pic of my sled and post it as I know how to do it now. I am new to the 4 stroke as I just bought a leftover 07 Apex Gt. As I said my old sled was a 03 Viper ER which my son now has. :

Hey love your sled. Mine is an 06 so different graphics, still silver on black, same windshield I like it much better than stock.


I found the stock shield directed the air to my chest then up my helmet and my eyes would water and nearly freeze when below zero.

The hand guards(I have the big Nytro ones on an apex) are minimally effective for warmth. I know because went a couple hundred miles with only one - other broke off- and minimal difference between hands.

Thank ! I just broke the windshiels yesterday and i ordered another one this morning !
I did fit the stock one on this morning but it takes so much away from the machine. Nearly went the the low silver one but it looks colder.

I put the PowerMadd (Cobra) mid height on my Apex with the PowerMadd hand guards. I am 5'6" and this set-up works great for me.

How does the mirror work on the PowerMadds, can you see behind you with them? I am looking for some type of low profile mirrors for my 07 Apex.

Try one of these 2" round blind spot mirrors. Only about 2 bucks and on left turns/curves you can easily see sled headlights day or night with no problem (what else do you need to see?). Peel and stick, mines been there for over 5,000 miles.
