Picking up a new to me 07 rage tomorrow. One owner 4200 miles. Drive shaft bearings, speedo sensor and oil tank have been replaced. C&A skis and cobra windshield seem to be the only things modded on this sled. Looking for advice on what to do next. Extra wheel kit? Better grip heaters? Front end bushings? Sway bar? Taller seat? Bar risers? Please let me know what you guys have done and where you found the parts. Thanks from a new convert to Yami 4 strokes.

Welcome to TY and congrats on your Rage purchase! There are lots of Mods you can do depending on how you ride. I have a 07' Rage with the following Mods:

Apex Mountain seat - hands down best mod
Apex bars
5" pivot riser
Vector Mountain control cables
13mm stabilizer bar
Custom shock valving by Pioneer
Yamaheater grip controller - no more cold hands
Pilot 5.7 skis

If you have the standard Rage I would look for a set of GTYR front clicker shocks. They are so easy to dial your ride and handling in with. If you do the Apex seat mod look for a Mountain, RTX, or 06/07 Nytro seat. All of these seats have firmer foam. If you haven't already, spend a little time searching on TY for threads on RS Mods. There is a lot if cool info on this site. Let me know if you have any other questions. G.B.

Hey gone Blue, I believe you were helpful in my my decision to give Yamaha a try. You gave me advice last season on which models had what features and also seat mods. I ended up finding this 07 Rage. Miles are low enough but it's a little rough. I will probably have many Qs until I get familiar with this sled. The first thing I need is a service manual. If you know where I can download one or purchase a CD that would be helpful. I need to give this sled a thorough going over before the season. The front end definitely needs new bushing so I would probably go with the 13mm bar while I am at it. My sled is not a GT. Do you know if the skid shocks can be rebuilt on this model? If so do you know someone local? I had my Ski-Doo shocks done by a guy 2 years ago but he was way out in Warren.

Cool, I hope you have fun modding and then riding your new sled. I sent you a PM with some links for your couple questions. G.B.
