Hello my fellow MPs. This is my first post here. I recently bought a 2009 MP and I want to check the state of my exhaust donuts. I really like the sled btw.

Is there any guide or pictures of what I need to do to get to them? I know I'll have to remove skirts, seats, the tank and so on. But I would really appreciate some sort of guidance on it. (One thing is, when removing the tank, do I need to drain it first and are there fuel lines I need to remove...)

I've searched the forum, all 18 pages of the MP/Lite space. But I haven't found it. But it's possible I've missed something since I'm new to the forum.

Thanks in advance.

other than pulling the seat, it should be the same as a phazer for instructions.

Thanks. Going to check the Phazer instructions. And from my understanding the donuts are the same? (Can't find specific ones for the Venture MP/lite)

same motor in the mp and venture lite as the phazer.

Easy way to check them is while the engine is running, using a rag, block the exhaust. If it stalls, they're good.

Barn of Parts has them.

Another option you might want to look at is this replacement for the flex pipes, which does away with the original flex pipes which do break. I've had my pipes break twice and the flex as well. I wound up replacing the entire exhaust before these were available.

Here's my experience with it:

When I had to take mine apart, after the first couple of times, it became easy. Remove the rear seat, remove the rear two side plastics at the handle, remove the tank side and top plastics, remove the two rear side bolts holding the front seat, pull the seat back and remove, disconnect the pump connector, fuel line, fuel level connector and fuel return line, remove two bolts holding the tank, lift and pull back to remove, remove bolts holding the heat shield.

Thank you guys! Your answers has made this much more clear to me. What a helpful community. Have a nice day!
