Ya, he rides a KVF650 and the thing will wheel stand just about anywhere. I rode it and was impressed with the power but that was about all. Plus the thing is fugly. That's what I kept telling him all day long. Anyone else agree?

Yes to both the power and the fugly factor.
There are times when having all that power come on that quick isn't so too pretty good.
I recall an alcohol lubricated conversation with a fellow Grizzlyinfo member who was describing methods for me to give my Grizzly "More Snap".
I replied: You mean like in axles? I don't think I want "More Snap".
