I was wondering if anyone has used two patterns to make one stud pattern. I have the Woody's 2.86 and a studboy 2.86 pattern. Woody's is more inside center with nothing in the direct center. 1 inch spacing in center of track. Studboy is more outside center. Closer to the edge. I figure if I alternate the pattern it would still be balanced and get the best of both. Any thoughts on this good or bad.
Thanks guys

I usually use the Woody's patterns but spread them out so the widest pair of backers are within 1/4" of the track windows... or I use my aluminum CB Performance pattern template that you can pretty much make whatever pattern you want.I was wondering if anyone has used two patterns to make one stud pattern. I don't us a template, but rather just step out 3/16" of an inch on each bar and fill the gaps with singles for the maximum amount of scratch lines

Any issues with the doubles on the outside? I thought about that but was thinking it might be to much.I don't us a template, but rather just step out 3/16" of an inch on each bar and fill the gaps with singles for the maximum amount of scratch linesView attachment 178819View attachment 178819
Honestly if you ride in poor conditions I would keep the studs in the middle of the track. I really like this pattern and it holds up just fine, but be very conscious when the trails have anything exposed. I got over confident after running this pattern for years on 3 different tracks and paid the price with terrible conditions.

I usually only ride if conditions are right. Our 2020 viper only has 1000 some miles on it. 2 vectors 2010 and 2013 with 1500 miles on one and 1400 on the other. But you never know what you will find out thereHonestly if you ride in poor conditions I would keep the studs in the middle of the track.
