Just got back from a frigid two day ride. Temps as low as -15f.
Due to some belt blowing issues last year and a clutch feel that was not as smooth as advertised, I decided to make some changes based on some assistance by several great vendors and others on TY. Unfortunately, or, fortunately, I got the power bug too and did everything at once.
TD Powertrail with suggested Dalton QAY Weights at 77grams. While their was some back and forth on another post comparing different tunes, I chose Bens because of all of the real world testing and great customer service.
Result: As advertised ....exactly. Smooth as silk but very powerful. No issues at -15 wot on very long fast trail. The sound of the SQ exhaust is a very nice low tone with a nice rasp when you throttle down. Very docile around the parking lot but very nice sound at trail speeds without being obnoxious at all.
TPI orange spring primary and secondary installed as recommended. 33/35 helix. TPI rollers. No shims.
Replaced all primary rollers also as one was bad so just assumed it would be smart to do so and start fresh.
This combination ran exceptionally. Very powerful. Low smooth engagement with seemingly endless pull. More snap off the corners and easy to run through twisty trails and launch off the occasional hill top etc. so far very happy.
Only issue is The recall rpm was 9225. I never hit rev limiter. There is a post that I believe stated 9150 to 9200 recall was actually 8900 to 9000 which was recommended. So I believe I am a touch high. I have Dalton Weights full. Should I make an adjustment. If so where and what to focus on?

Thanks for your review... Leave it revving 9000rpm that gives best response and power.
Very happy you love your powertrail / td super quiet setup!
Recall at 9200rpm is normal even 9300 rpm is ok.

What belt are you using ? Ran the gate all last year no issues ,tried a xs825 only made it 25 miles and i have the basic same set up as you .The 33/35 does help the motor rev but i'm going to try the stk. 35 now with more power as the motor needs to be loaded .

How do you recall rpm or do you have a aftermarket gauge?

Ditch the 33/35 ,put the 35 back in and you''ll see a difference .the 33/35 works with a stk.SW. the 35 seems better with a tuned SW.Stock jp

It was the stock equivalent but I do not have it in front of me. The chamber is full. 3/4", 3/8" 5/8 ", totaling 77grams.
