Need a Lift.......

looks like the istructions for one in the tec pages. brother built one and it works really well. modding ours at some point so we can use a ratchet to crank it up over the trailer dolly leg we are now using.

ok now that one is pretty cool and i like the wheels on it.

I built my 1st one using the plans on TY. Cost me nearly $200. I bought the 2nd one off the internet. Cost me $130-ish. Home built lift is MUCH sturdier. Interns one is convient, yet sways back & forth. And the wheels add-on kit sags because the lift's legs are of a thin gauge. The one I built is really solid. If I buy another, I'd spend more money.

I bought one off a guy in MN that builds them in his garage and it is built like a tank! heavy gauge tubing throughout and came with steel casters on it. I've had my nytro on it running to align the track, or check for issues and would be comfortable sitting on the sled on the lift even. IMO, look on craigslist and ebay for some of the homemade ones, you may just be impressed by the quality and price.

Ended up buying that JS lift. I must say I really like it....

The J&S Lift looks sweet. Good Buy.. But I still like my homebuilt.

Looks like the lift I got. ..is junk. 1st ram went to $hit, just the other day the replacement ram went to $hit. Flimsy. Wheel kit flexes and then frame bottoms out. Steer clear!

Not sure what to get, but my hips can't take laying on the garage floor even with a blanket....

I was looking at this with wheels..... Any comments? Good/bad or otherwise? Better lifts that won't break the bank?

My heaviest sled is my '05 RX1
