My was running great, but everytime I shut it off it was very hard to restart until finally it wouldn't and my Doo drivin buddy had to get the trailer
, so I'm not in a happy.
Anyway, no codes appear, sled cranks fine , spits a bit and attempts to go but nothing. Fuel pump relay is good, but it's acting like it's not getting gas. When it did start earlier in the day it ran perfect just hard to start. I'm thinking crank sensor but not sure . By the way where is the crank sensor.? I got the week off to sled so I need this fixed NOW.
HELP please

I Should have said that I already changes the plugs before I gave in to trailering it home in shame.
There are alot of things that could be going on, fuel pump relay, do you hear it cycle when you turn the key? Battery, some times it will crank over but still not have enough power to start., could be a bad fuel pump or hopefuly not a bad stator.

Fuel pump works fine, relay is good, swapped out starter relay , all good. Checked all fuses and everything is good. It did break off the oil cooler tabs today or yesterday but that was a quick fix. It cranks over fine and has been on the charger all evening, It acts like it wants to go, got a backfire or 2 out of it but that's all. Like I said it was a pure bitch all day to restart but once running it ran perfect. Right now I trade it for my SRX in a heartbeat.
Man it sounds just like the plugs are gone but like you said you already tryed that. Try nipping the throttle (alittle) when you crank it, what about the gas your useing?

According to the manual, the stator crapped out, 1.4 ohms on each side and yamaha says .19-.22 max. So it' won't be a simple fix.
Well that sucks, not a cheap part but mabe someone on here might have one for a good price.

I dealer here has 2 low milage apex's scrapped, so I'll be there where he opens tomorrow to get a stator from him. I'm not waiting to order one and miss the best season in years here. Thanks for the input.
