Just had my shock revalved. Now the sled does not see the shock, as if the wire was broken. I have 12 volts from the sled to the shock with the key on and 5 ohms across the shock wires. Can anyone help me?

Does anyone have any information on how the electronics are supposed to work?

I would guess either the solenoid on top of shock is defective or a wiring problem. Check Ohlins site for trouble shooting. I had the solenoid go bad on mine, then the whole shock......

Riverrat, definitely not a wiring problem, and it worked before being revalved. I'd love to know if the solenoid was externally removable, or if removing it required shock disasembly. If you had yours replaced, did you do it yourself or have it done by a dealer. If so, who is your dealer. So far, I've had no help from the shop that revalved it, Ohlins, or my dealer. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. So far you are the only hope that I have and the only one to respond to my question.

did the dealer who rebuilt it dissable it?
If the wire is broken it will not work,,, if the solonoid goes bad it wont either..

I had the solenoid replaced under warranty, I thought they removed shock to do the repair. What shop did your rebuild? They cant help you? Contact bruce at pioneer performance, maybe he can help. The solenoid is on the end of shock so it does not require disassembly but most likely shock removal.

the solenoid is very easy to remove, but i bet the wire is chafed through. they all need heavier insulation.leaddog said:Just had my shock revalved. Will the 07's have heavier insulation or should we put some shielding on prior to riding? Seems like a simple fix to a nagging problem.

get some plastic wire conduit and put over the wire and zip tie it in place. don't know what they have done for 07 models but the wire is pretty fragile at the solenoid. the solenoid can be gotten seperate but a call has to be made by a dealer to the service center at this time. maybe in the fall there will be a seperate part #.

It's not the wire. How do I remove the solenoid? (without breaking it)
