New to the forum. Nancy and I just bought a New Red 05 Rage back on the 15th of December. Went up to Team in Oshgosh, and picked her up. Out the door with the 4 year extended and a Scorpion helmet was $7125. Just took her into get the first 500 mile checkup yesterday, would have had more miles but we both drive for UPS. Now we have time and no snow!!! Nancy has put around 100 miles on her, she really seems to enjoy it...thank god!
Just got my UPS package from Sheboygan Yamaha on Friday which has my Venture mirrors and my RXJack. I think mirrors are a good idea for both of us because we are new riders, and the RXJack for the ocasional rider. I'm lucky enough to beable to bum a second sled when we ride.
Between the oil filter and oil change, taking the seat off and putting on the mirrors on, I feel a little more informed about my own sled. There is always something to learn!
The only problem I have found is my fuel censor likes to act up, says its empty when its full? Getting 18mpg before the oil change, have to wait to see how it does now. Later Fitz

Put on the SeatJack, had to put on the brackets and shave a bit off the plastic lower. SeatJack will be nice, got the hand warmers for it coming soon. With 3500 miles any issues? I really like this sled, first sled ever, have 3 cycles, but no time in the summer. Fitz

Just the updates for the 05 models.. Clutch rattle fixed, something to do with the tors. Yours should have had these things fixed already. MM.

My wife also rides an 05. With about 2000 miles on it, since it was new last season, she really likes it.
The engine braking was the only thing she had to get used to coming off her98 v max. Make sure the idle is set to specs, if too low, the EB seems to be more abrupt.
