When you say you've had "Ice" tracks before, does that mean you've run the Ice Arrowhead 130?Having had both, I have to disagreed a bit. While the ICE tracks work well, they can never achieve the level of penetration a push through stud can.
The ICE tracks work very well if safety is your priority, but if maximum traction is your goal, then push through studs are the way to go.
There is a considerable difference between the new Ice Arrowhead and previous prestudded Camso tracks.
Like twice as many studs and the angled lugs just to name two.

No, I have not. ICE attack's mostly. When you say you've had "Ice" tracks before, does that mean you've run the Ice Arrowhead 130?

Honestly, I was considering the Arrowhead 130 and was hoping it may be the answer until I saw the comparison video between one and a studded track on an 858.
Improvements considered, I still cant see it penetrating as deep as a push through stud that extends beyond the lug 5/8 of an inch. And if I am going to tune my sled, I want that power getting to the snow.
I am not saying they wont work and may be the answer for some people, but not for me yet.

Something to consider, Polaris offers a 2 ply 1.35 Cobra on their switchback assault sleds. I was at a Polaris dealer last week, and he said they usually do a couple 146” track swaps every fall, and sell the tracks for $550.
Just another option.

I was looking over the 1.6 Cobra on my new sled yesterday. Man those lugs are soft. I can bend them over with my fingers!!!!!

I am not a fan. Granted mine is a 1 ply, but I don’t see this track lasting long with high HP or lots of high speed riding.I was looking over the 1.6 Cobra on my new sled yesterday. Man those lugs are soft. I can bend them over with my fingers!!!!!
My dad has the same sled as you. His is stock and he only rides pristine trails. He has 10,000 miles on his cobra and it still looks great. So maybe the lack of durability in my case is directly related to my thumb.

My plan for the 1.6 Cobra (today anyway) is to stud it up in a 2-4 pattern and hope for the best.
If they decide to make a ripsaw 2 1.5 x 146 before snow flies next year then my plans may change.

- '21 SRX, '14 Viper RTX, '06 Apex, '99 SX 600, '74 TL433F,
I have an Ice Storm on my Viper with stock motor and Thunder Products clutching and an Ice Arrowhead on my SRX with Hauck 240 HP tune and clutch kit. The Arrowhead FAR outperforms the Storm in all situations. I have run push through studs on my Apex, Nytro and Viper and I would say the Arrowhead performs as well or better than those tracks with the exception being under breaking going into an icy corner. The Arrowhead is so much more advanced and about equal to or slightly less in cost than a standard 2-ply track and push through studs that I don't see myself going back to standard track and push through studs. That and you don't have to worry about belt/web tear-through with the Arrowhead. I have around 2K miles on the Arrowhead with no issues but time will tell as I put more miles on it.
