They work period!!! I wouldn't consider them big and clunky more like skinny and sleek and they DO NOT creat a bigger rut. About the Cobra Heads...my dealer used to put them on all the sleds he sold untill the snow trackers came out and he switched to them because they work better.

Well I politely disagree. I am actually quite right with what I said. But thank you for your comments. Keeps TY4 lively when we don't all agree..........

what he said... the Cobra Heads exhibit more push but do a good job of eliminating darting, the Snowtrackers are one up on them in handling precision IMO only drawback is they are a bit noisy on pavement, gravel etc...but it really boils down to personal preference.

Look I don't mean to throw stones at you, so please don't take offense or this personally, but you work for Yammi Canada and your organization make $$ from the sales of snowtrackers, which are right on Yammi Canada's site now. Maybe should disclose that inherent conflict when rating Snowtrackers over another brand....... JMO!!!!!

No worries Mike, regarding my disclosure however, I am somewhat surprised by your reaction. I 'outed myself long ago and remain completely transparent, simply follow the link to my blog to confirm. I like to ring in on products I believe in. Yes we (Yamaha) sell Snowtrackers (in Canada), why? because I recommended them based on my own testing and feedback from trusted sources. They work. We priced them competitively and I do hope we make a couple of bucks in the process but more importantly, I hope they help more people enjoy riding their sleds, gee maybe I should be on commission cheers cr

I don't know if he has but I have driven both and the bergstrom is not the fix all that the snowtrackers are and they are well worth the $200 cost.

This is my 2 cents on the whole thing. I have not tried the snowtrackers. I had a 2000 mxz that had duallys on and it handled very well. My phazer is the first Yammi I have had. After reading a ton on TY, I went with the Bergstrom setup. Cant really compare them to stock because the only riding I did was up and down our street the first part of April 08 when I bought it. I flipped the skis last weekend and the carbides look really good (1000 miles). I agree that the stock skis are terrible and when my current carbides are gone, I may look at a completly different ski setup. I "think" it comes down to personal preference...case in point, my buddy had an 01 or 2 Viper and ran duallys. His vector had the factory 3" and this year he is going with single 6 or 8's.

Ok, ok...... You guys are relentless and very convincing. And that's good! That's what i love about my fellow TY brothers and sisters.
I maybe lumped Snowtrackers into the wrong category of large carbide without trying them out. For that I am sorry. You guys sure are convinced of their greatness.
But I have solved my darting also via shimming with the stock Yammi skis and Shaper Bars on my Attak. On my Mnt Viper I have New Slydog Powderhounds -- shimmed with Bergstrom ski savers and triple points. My plan is to also put Slydogs with Bergstroms on the Attak as finances permit.

Next pair you need buy the snwotrackers. If you are not satisfied I will buy them from you. I am that confident that you will like them. If nothing else I will trade you my 8" bergstroms.

$200 plus dollars for carbides is CRAZY and the self sharping idea is a JOKE . Yes wear the sides of the host bar down to pertrude more carbide but that only works if the carbide does not hold the host bar off the ground and the sharp angle of the carbide will wear flat like any other. just my 2 cents
Banks93

Again you are not just paying for the carbide. You are also paying to make your sled handle better instead of spending $500+ on new skies and carbides. Actually you save money.

I have the cobra heads for my stock skis on my xtx and I can trail ride all day with one hand steering. I have no fear of riding agressive with them either they work and that's it. The rest of this arguement going on here is childish. There is more than one way to skin a cat. By the way I picked mine up at my local dealer for 75 bucks.
