New to the site, read alot of threads on here and decided to join. I have an rtx se, absolutely love it. Had a few issues with clutching but I put the stock clutch components back in and no problems. I bought a Bender racing power shift kit for it, lost a few mph on top end and didn't gain much on the low end. Had to go through my secondary and replace the buttons and my primary wasn't getting a little beat up from the clicker clutch weights, anyone else have luck with Bender on their Nytro? I've heard that Ulmer racing has the clutch kit to get.

I've read somewhere that the Ulmer kits engage around 2900 rpm's, the Bender one I have was engaging at 4200, destroyed belts haha. I tried finding information about the power shift kit and did searches but couldn't find anything. I paid 400$ for the Bender kit so i kind of want to make it work by adjusting the weights.

Welcome to the site, there is tons of information on this site regarding clutching set ups, ulmer, SBracing, and bender all have great kits!

I've been running D&F set up for the last year.
Blew up an aftermarket belt within a couple 100kms.
Went back to the 8DN in a hurry and seeing more belt dust than before.
Obviously I'm squeezing the belt much harder and earlier with D&F setup.
Ran stock clutch for about 3700kms and was not impressed with the heavy grooves burned into the lower pocket of the primary.
If I had of known that stock damage was going to occur I would have looked for a clutch kit sooner.
I can't remember... For giggles what does the stock clutch with 8DN engage at?

I have a new 8DN belt coming.
When I throw it on (and get snow) I'll check the engagements I'm at.
Then I'll throw on the 14.5 rollers and look for more changes in RPM.
Trying to get early engagement is my goal.
The nytro can handle it.

^Please keep us posted. Im looking at DnF's for a mid-winter upgrade. Im torn between DnF's or something I am already familiar with, the heavy hitters by thunder products. I haven't heard much about the HH on the nytro though. I think I will choose DnF just because if I have any problems clutching almost everyone on this site can help me. ;)!

And my bone stock Nytro XTX was engaging at about 3500-3600 last weekend with very little snow on the ground. I have the vector gauge on it so it was pretty easy to read.

If you're running Turks setup, engagement should be around 3800 Mark..I run the Yammi belt and thats where I'm at. I'm interested in how the 14.5s work out. I had Iantomasi cut my helix and also went to 22/38 gears...can't wait to get out and test this stuff. :-o

Ya running (Turks, RIP) magic D&F recipe. Always felt engagement was earlier than stock or at least it felt that way. (Darn digital readout, pin point an exact number will ya).
Thanks for sharing that Iantomasi tid bit of info.
How many nytro's has he cut overdrive into over the years?
I've been sitting on the fence and have a line on others who are cutting nytro primary's in my area. But they just starting cutting them this year, new jigs set up etc. Just not sure yet?

No, he cut a new helix angle for me...it's now a 47/41. He actually did that same angle on my 99 SRX and it worked awsome!

Ah got it... We are all chasing around ideas.
Hope that setup works great for you.
Think the lake will freeze again tonight?
I almost wasn't expecting -12C after being like summer yesterday.
