NEW MODEL IN FEB 2010?

In my dreams this would be the XTX SE or even better the MTX Assault. The basics from the RTX SE but with a 1.75-2" x 144" paddle track, skid and tunnel braces for serious pounding, proper suspension calibration and finally with skis that steer not only on the showroom floor. And it weighs in at 199 kilograms...

you wont see a factory turbo...no way no how.

If a factory sled was ever to come boosted from yammie my guess would be a low boost Supercharger....most likey on a 3 cylinder motor.

Im thinking the new sled is a revamped apex chassis(less weight) with a more nytro like look, with a 3 cyl motor and Low boost Supercharger.

Less weight and around 160hp for best power to weight ratio of any 4 stroke.

now lets wait and see what the new sled is.....its gotta be a apex replacement though IMO....another mid size sled they do not need.

I hope one of the variations of the new Apex is factory specked like an SRX.

Take the basic sled, lower it 2", bigger gears, paint it black, very simple to do.

My guess on engine is something based on the Nytro with Variable Valve Timing and more Revs, possibly meaning that it may be gear reduced, but I'm guessing gear reduction is less weight than another cylinder and then they can use common, Connecting rods, head castings etc...

If you don't go forced injection on a 4 stroke you need revs and the Nytro is already revving at the limits of clutch efficiency.

A totally new Yamaha. A 6 stroke 3 cylindar that gets that gets 40 miles to the gallon. 6 Gallon gas tank. The options to adjust your handlebars, seat and running boards for rider forward aggressive riding or adjust them to sit down relax and cruise on the trails. A totally new information pod, spedo ,gps, tach, all info from the motor. Settings on the handlebars to adjust suspension front and back and to allow the rider to tip the rails on the fly when needed..Ah what the hell do I know but I can dream about things like this ..........

I would be pumped for either the Apex xtx idea(with some weight savings), or the kids sled!! I think both would be big sellers!!

My thoughts are also on a less expensive model. Ski doo came out with a lot of fan snowmobiles this year and Polaris is making a bare bones sled as well. Yamaha needs something like this to help in market share. The only news was with the mountain sleds for Yamaha. Maybe make a bare bones four stroke?!?!
