I have done some snow-skiing in my time and there is no darting. My point is if we didn't have any carbides and just flat skis there would be 0 darting. (and obviously no turning either.) My theory is the less carbide number the less darting you would have but also the less turning. I am drinking a few beers so I could be way off but again when I snow ski I get 0 darting.

Great. Thanks for the info. Tuner is a good ski. That sudden darting and floatation are my only complaints.

What its true, if nobody had carbides there would be no darting because there would be no ruts. Yes of course nobody would be able to turn either. Can't I have a few beers and chat on this thing? Geez relax already. This post could go down as one of the classics in the history of TY !

What, its 5:00 somewhere! ANYWAYS .......... Sooooo for people that are not aggressive riders in the corners and just like to take it very easy when snowmobiling, I would say less carbide number (to a point), the less darting because you have less metal down in the snow to catch the ruts or paths of other carbides and can simply "float" over the ruts. Deep carbides do not = less darting. Deep carbides = better cornering.I wish I was as relaxed as you must be !
I am Congratulating you !
