Congratulations to Jim Rogers, Orange Boy Racing Team, and ALL others involved. we meet these guys in ohio alittle over a year ago when they were still struggling, these guys were a class act, and their equiptment was flawless. but they were having trouble bringing it all together, going threw some off the same problems we had when we were first getting starting, i'm very happy to hear that they kept with it and have worked as hard and as long as we did to break into the infamous 7 second club. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! these guys have really come along way and should be extremely proud of what they just accomplished!!!!!! for all of those who thought that it was so easy to do since we had a turbo... jim and orange boy are the proof that the turbo had nothing to do with it. it takes alot more than just power, it takes alot of hard work, dedication, and countless hours of testing to properly harness the power that drives these sleds down the track. i'm actually kind of glad that our record got beat, especially by a two stroke!! now all the whinners have just lost their (yeah but its got a turbo excuse) and its good for the snowmobile industry. it feels good to have the target off of our backs and on to theirs, lol. it makes it more fun when you have something to shoot for.
new world record is a 7.84 at 167 mph.
yamaha still owns the 170 mph world record in the 1/4 mile.
