I gotta say I just don't get it. I try and try to reason in My mind why they don't offer them and I continually draw a blank. I know I don't want a 152 mtn with generic shocks. I mean every year its the old 121 or nothing dance. Frustrating. :o| :o| :o| :o| :o|

thats what i was trying to say earlier, what the heck with no 136 on the nytro?

i have to add my name to those that is very disappointed in yamaha too....never thought id say that........................ no 136 phazer/nytro????? come on

I think the lineup is good. Vector's in the delta 2 (no it's not the 130 hp but oh well, still gonna be a rockin sled), and the new Nytro is sweet.

But I was also looking for a 136 Nytro... Now I'm bummed.

No 136", No 144"...Just a 121" and a 153" with a pure CRAP rear suspension!!!!!!!!!!! I was ready to put money down on a 144" with a decent suspension set-up but $10,700 for a sled with no shocks ain't worth it. I guess I'll have to wait till '09.

P.S. For a 40th Anniversary release...I gotta say...PRETTY LAME!!! This damn thing better weight in under 500 LBS but I know damn well it don't. 2008 "40th Anniversary" Line-up gets an F. Terrible, Pathetic. Yamaha isn't gaining an inch of marketshare this year, that's for damn sure.

On the positive, I'm so glad I bought my '06 Attak...haven't seen anything that trips my trigger since.

What are you talking about? A 4 stroke 130 hp sled that weighs under or near comparable two strokes? Vector's in the detla 2? I think we've just been spoiled and expect things to get drastically changed every year. The lineup is solid. They filled a lot of holes this year. Yes I was hoping for a 136 Nytro, but oh well.

My guess is they will do the 136 version next year. Just like they did with the 04 warrior. They have to make improvements and have more offerings each year, it only logical to think the 136 will be the next progression...BBY

What Yamaha has come out with new for this year is impressive. The 136 or a 144 inch would've been great too, I agree with everyone! Can't wait to get to throw a leg over them in the morning!

I'm bummed about the 136, but after drooling over My computer this evening I can't wait to ride it too. Make sure you post ASAP after riding it Alan.

LIneup looks good, im not crazy about the color choices.....

and definately should have been the 130hp in the 136 skid either db2 or fx chassis.... oh well...

glad i have an 07 ATTAK!!!!!

I agree on the color and the no 136" comments. I was too hoping for the same. Look like the extensions will be a hot add-on next year.

OK Let me rephrase my comments...I'm not disappointed one bit in the new NytroFX. I think the sled will rock, I'm just disappointed that there is very little available in options as far as track length. The 136" & 144" is very popular with people like myself that want to ride out west and in the Midwest. With the bad winters we've had in the midwest it's almost a neccessity to have a cross-over sled. I hope it's around 500lbs with the advancement Doo made in the REV otherwise the gap didn't get smaller...it got bigger, alot bigger.

I'm a bit disappointed in Yamaha's participation in this class as well. Yamaha has never made a crossover sled that could truly compete with the Switchbacks/Renegades/Crossfires of the world in off-trail capability. The Attak just doesn't quite cut it...I know because I own one.

With the new Nytro 130 setup (which looks like a SWEET trail sled/ditchbanger) they had a golden opportunity to convert it into a crossover, and they didn't take it. How hard is it for a big manufacturer to come up with a longer rear suspension, longer track, and maybe different skis? It can't be THAT difficult...individuals do it in their garages all the time. Maybe for 2009 they'll do it, but sadly for Yamaha there are those of us who won't wait around. Last year, I wanted a 4-stroke crossover so badly, I even took it on myself to experiment last year with trying to create a true crossover out of an '07 Attak by going deeper lug and bigger skis through the aftermarket. Sadly, it didn't work all that well, though it was admittedly an outstanding trail sled. But I missed my mark on what I was trying to create.

So for a true crossover sled, it appears I have no option but to go into the competitor's showrooms, breathe in the 2 stroke air, and give them my money.

Yamaha, I so DESPERATELY want to purchase a high performance 4 stroke crossover from your company. And I have been waiting patiently for years, sadly giving much of my money to your competitors instead! So if you're serious about gaining market share from them, why don't you make any effort to build me one?

Build it, and I promise I'll buy it. Because I REALLY, REALLY like the quality and manners of your sleds otherwise. If anyone can do it right, you can. But it seems you're not trying...
