No Start

Take your meter and hook it up at starter and turn the key to see if you have 12v at starter , if you do then the starter is bad

For sure the next step is to pull the cover off and see if the starter is getting 12 volts
Right now I am assuming it does because the Solenoid Has 12 Volts on the starter side of it.

Mine had 12.2v and would not start. The battery did not have the CCAs with a bad cell to drive the starter. It certainly could be the starter or another component in the starter path, but cranking Amps are needed to start the so make sure the battery is sound.

I tried to boost it yesterday. That should have ruled out the battery. Today I disconnected the starter and it is getting the 12.5 or whatever volts when I turn the key.

Sled won't turn over. Solenoid clicks but doesn't turn over. I got the p0562 code while riding and the sled sputtered. This code is for low voltage. Checked with a meter and the voltage is 12.5 volts. It is a bit low but I tried to start it a few times. Even tried a boost. The contacts in the solenoid are closing... looks like another starter fail. Great timing 5 day trip planned this week. Any other ideas?
Low voltage is probably your issue. Battery should be 13 volts min.

I hooked it up to my truck and it still wouldn't turn over. I guess I could have disconnected the sled battery and hooked up the booster cables and tried that.

not saying this is your problem but if you do have a bad cell in the battery it will show 12 volts but wont be able to let the amperage pass through. Even when you jump them they sometimes wont work while connected.

That is a point. I will try tonight to disconnect the battery and boost it. Hope that works.

I don't have a load tester. I can bring it to Canadian tire to get them to check it.

Then put voltmeter on battery and WHILE turning key watch meter. If it drops below 11v batt is junk.

If I do that is drops to 4 volts. It could also drop off if the starter is shorted. Right?

If by "boost" you mean jump start with another battery, that my not rule out the battery. A bad battery cell can also not allow a jump start. Test the battery at your dealer or an auto shop before you move to other parts that may be defective. You don't want to start replacing parts and then find a bad battery was your issue. If you don't have the CCA available to start the sled, voltage won't mean a thing. Verify your battery is sound, then move on with trouble shooting other components. Just my 2 cents. Good luck getting it starting reliably.

Tried a different battery that I know works and still just the solenoid. So it is confirmed. Bad starter. Thank for the extra help guys. Hopefully it will be in the shop first thing. Warranty gotta love it.
