I have an 05 RX1 with Simons CPR supertune kit - filters, evac, carb rings, jetting and clutching changes ( installed and tuned by Dynoray on this forum ).
I'm basically happy with this kit ( even though I did lose some top end - best only 104 mph on hard pack - it definately accelerates harder - 86 mph in 660 ft, both on the gun ) but I would like to have more in reserve for those "special" occasions ( like seeing my buds Mach Z pull up beside me ).
Anyone have this combination with NOS??. What kind of real world performance increase can one expect - enough to fend off the Z or no??
Ray - I have'nt had a chance to call you at the shop yet this fall - if you see this I'd be interested to know what you think.
Thanks,
Peter

depends what distance your going to run, traction, conditions, and how much you want to win by. bigger the shot, the shorter the bottle will last.

i have a freind with a mach z,he would get me 2-3 lengths in 1000 ft.i now get him 10 lengths with a 60 shot.i did alot of things at the same time like the filters, nitrous, picked speed track so not sure which helped more.i do know that if you can't hook up all the power you have it is useless, and trail studs won't do it.just my 2 cents

dont know about lengths but never any side by side action when on the button. went to 144 and 1.5 track with expert x for traction.

NOS set up with filters
NOS-PRO,
Any thoughts on this set-up?, which manufacturer might have the best kit?
I've really not heard from anyone who has done this yet but someone must use filters with nos and not the airbox?!!
I'd appreciate any thoughts!

filters and nos
Black 1000,
Thank you for your reply.
If you had pictures or general info re the install ( do you position the nos nozzle into the filters or is there some type of carb plate??) and where the bottle might go ( it looks like there should be room ahead of the filters) it would be helpful.
I know nothing about a nos setup on a sled, so anything you can tell me will help. The two examples I have seen in my area have either not worked well or have blown up in a rather spectacular fashion !! (although both were two strokes - one a mach Z the other a 900 zr).
I would like to know which kit seems best for a moderate power increase when needed but with still a margin of safety / trailability if both these are possible from the same set up.
Thanks again,
Peter
