Searched and I found some pre-made bags for the front nose area, has anyone just used any other bag to store stuff? I see what looks like a rectifier, can I store stuff on top of it?

Thanks

that stock bag sort of sits on the rectifier also, i have one and put the odd thing in it, never had a problem, i mostly store my arctic cat tow rope in there and a few other tow related items.

I have the Yamaha bag in my '13 with a set of mini jumper cables and a tow rope. No issues.

Great thanks, I am just going to use a small duffel bag in the front.

It's surprising how much stuff you can get into that little nose cone bag, even with power steering. I have a tow-rope, mini jumper cables and I used to have a dry relay as well. Seems to work well.

I used to stuff a bunch of extra clothes in the nose cone, just using a garbage bag. Then I bought saddle bags. This year I purchased the Yamaha storage bag for around $30. It is a handy storage location for sure. A lot more room there than the rear trunk.

I use dry storage bags with roll tops like you might use boating. You can get cheap ones at Wal Mart or spend more at outfitter type stores. When not saddlebagging I will usually keep a set of dry socks, gloves and pullover in there for emergency.

Great idea!

For those of you who frequent your local ski hill after hours, and rocket your Apex off the 90 meter jump, and are concerned that if you make a less than perfect landing that your cargo may in fact cause some damage to the electrical on the rectifier, you could cut a piece of 15 1/2 X 9 plastic to fit,

off a square pail or a tote box top, and lay it on top of the existing framework that is there, and put your rope and socks on top of that.

Dont think I have to worry about needing that!

Well then, if nobody needs help on their landings, it's MIDNIGHT here, so HAPPY NEW YEAR!! to all of you!! (No need to reply or these wishes will take up too much space. I know you are out there.)
