Yesterday we were running the river in Southern WI and found alot of small water crosses. Here is one of many we came across. This is my son running a smaller cross as we had several that we ran hundreds of feet. Both the Apex and Nytro run very smooth on the water LOL

Yes, the Nytro's do pretty well on water but I'm afraid to find out what it will take to make it run again if I ever sink one. Here is a video my brother shot from a helmet cam last weekend in southern WI as well.

Great video. My rtx is a great water rat but I have not shot a big sweeping bend like that before. Is that an xtx or rtx?

That is a standard fx nytro. Here is another video, you can see what happens when those awesome slopped out Yamaha ball joints get a death shake halfway through the section of water, just watch the handlebars.

Last year we crossed some sections that were way longer when the river was opening up. The only thing you have to worry about is the belt getting wet so we sometimes duct tape the seams on the clutch side if we are planning huge stretches. The ones on those videos didn't require any tape.

The Nytros really do shine on water, doesn't even need a run off, just gun it. I've went over 1000 feet on water. Last year my belt skipped like crazy due to my Drag-n-flys clutch kit tearing my side panel. I know others who had this problem, If your running the drag in flys or one of those nytros where the panel doesnt fit PERFECT. I'd take a quick check before hitting long strecths of water

Very good point! That always crosses my mind right before hitting water Haha
