Nytro gearing for larger lug track

Installed a 1.6 cobra 128" I have lost 500 rpm. Which way do I need to go with gearing to recover rpm. And do I need to change the chain.
2008 nytro rtx.

need to put in one tooth larger lower if possible to make a taller ratio.

So go to a 22 top great to be able to pull More rpm.?

you actually would want to go 20 on top to gear it down.

stock is 21/39 = 1.85 to 1 gear ratio
stock mtx is 20/40 = 2 to 1 gear ratio

what i am suggesting is go to a 21/40 = 1.90 gear ratio or you can go with a 20/39 = 1.95 to 1 gear ratio to get your rpms back in line with where they should be. i suggest the 21/40 as you are not down by much.

i cannot tell you if the 21/40 will work with the stock 68l chain but the 20/39 will for sure.
