I thought the resale value of Yamaha 4-strokes was suposed to be so good? I've had my 08 NYTRO for sale for over a week and no calls? What gives? Whats it worth?

I am very aware of the economic situation, that's why it's for sale. I'm asking best offer. Considering the economy, what's it worth?

I BOUGHT MINE A WEEK AGO FOR $6000 WITH 1341 MILES ON IT

They had a used 40th Aniversary edition on the floor when I bought mine that had been extended to 144", 1400 miles mint shape for $7500. Paid $9150 for my 09 RTX, hope this helps

You're competing with Yamaha throwing massive rebates at new units, $2000 on '08's and $1500 on '09's which doesn't help.

I don't know where you posted your sled, but if you already haven't you might try the classifieds here with pics, miles, options/accessories, condition and location.

I think the 08s are going to be a tougher sell espically due to the sub frame issues and overall front suspension design change.

I just picked up my 08 RTX new off the showroom for $7,300. I'm going to sell it at the end of the year I'm hoping I get upper 5 or 6 for it.

It's listed in 4-stroke & TY classifieds. I didn't list it locally, because I live 30 miles from Thief River Falls, and you can't give away a Yamaha here. It has a COMPLETE 09XTX front installed. I didn't have a subframe issue, but I did have the instability isssue. The sled is much more stable and predictable now. Thanks!

Are you looking to get something else? I have a f7 for sale if you are interested. Or maybe a trade.

Yeah it's definitively an economy thing with the credit crunch and so on, people are not too willing to fork out cash like a few years back.
I read that the largest Doo dealer here in Norway was down 71 % on the '09 sale (spring order and sale until the end of '08) compared to the '08 sale. Doo got hit the worst, Yamaha the least while Poo had an increase in sale - go figure.

Objects don't have intrinsic value. The value is established by the price someone is willing to pay. The trick is finding the someone willing to pay the most for whatever you're selling. Unfortunately, the number of someones’ willing to pay what you'd accept has diminished substantially in the last 12-months. Given the circumstances, not having any inquiries within a week is not surprising. If it goes out to a month then you'd better consider other options or prepare to hold on to the sled until next season.

I just sold two sleds. One was on Craig's List for 6-weeks and one went unexpectedly to a neighbor. I had several responses to the ad on Craig's List, but it took the 6-weeks before the first (and only) person showed up to look at it and he bought it on the spot.

Post your sled wherever you can to get the most exposure possible and good luck.
