Does anyone know if the Stator from a 2014 Nytro will work in a 2009 Nytro? I notice the part numbers are different but also heard that the 2014 Stators are better.

They really never changed them all that much. Not sure why it would matter.Does anyone know if the Stator from a 2014 Nytro will work in a 2009 Nytro? I notice the part numbers are different but also heard that the 2014 Stators are better.

It appears starting in 2012, not 2014, they switched from the 8GL-81410-00-00 and started using the 8HU-81410-00-00

The rectifier/regulator hasn't changed so the stator's connection to it hasn't changed either. The rotor (fly wheel) part number changed with the newer stator so if you went with the newer part number you might need to replace the rotor with it.
Rick's Motorsport Electrics have decent stators at a better price than OEM. https://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/New-OEM-Style-Yamaha-Snow-Stator-24_402

Grizz, have you run one of Ricks stators? The rectifier/regulator hasn't changed so the stator's connection to it hasn't changed either. The rotor (fly wheel) part number changed with the newer stator so if you went with the newer part number you might need to replace the rotor with it.

I've installed them for others (stators and starters). So far I've never had or known of any problems with them.

Thanks Grizz. I am anticipating needing a stator at some point with 10,500 miles on my 08'.I've installed them for others (stators and starters). So far I've never had or known of any problems with them.
