Nytro tank cover

Has anyone put a Nytro tank cover on a Vector? I picked up a Nytro seat and order the Nytro tank cover but when I went to put the cover on, it was the same as the Vector cover. So, I compared the part numbers for both sleds and they are the same. I called Yamaha and they said it looks to be wrong on their parts list and they are going to call me back with the correct number and pay for my dealer's restocking fee.

Since the RX-1 and Vector have the same covers as well, I just cut mine down to fit the Nytro seat.

Just got a call from Yamaha and they said the cover is the same one both sleds.

That is strange. Part number is the same on their website. I also cut my Vector shroud with help from 4Fighter and others here. 3 1/4" crescent off the bottom.

I bought a black Nytro cover for my Vector GT when I did the seat conversion. It is definately not the same as the vector cover! The seat facing surface is already sized to fit the taller seat ... and the handlebar opening is shaped different for the different bar mount. Despite the differences, this cover is a direct fit on any RS chassis when using a taller seat.

I chose to buy the Nytro cover rather than cutting the stock one so I still have it to go with the stock seat, just in case something ugly happens. I also used an Apex GT seat. So that opens up more possibilities.

how much higher is the nytro seat than the vector seat.. Is there any weight loss? i was thinking about getting one.

The Nytro Black 2006 Tank cover number I used is 8FA-77711-20-33.
