Do all you guys use religiously or just for bar gas? I usually start out with gas I buy at local station and then of course fill up on trail, when I leave from home. Never had an issue on trail but probably cause your not full bore on the trail. On this note, what lights up on gauges when you do get detonation?

Torco mix ratio. It doesn't take much to bring the octane number up to 94 when you fill up with 91.
The cans are 32 oz cans.

1nc2000 thats one of the reasons I went with Lucas because of the tall and slim plastic bottles. Both Torco and Lucas rated similar in testing that I can find. I just wonder if you sound like a wind chime when someone is behind you with all those cans? Lmao.......

Thats funny.
It costs less to run torco if you mix it properly.
I have also run Lucas and Clotz.
I have lucas bottles that I have labled torco for easier carrying also.

I have used Amsoil Octane Boost for three years now on a 270 tune. No issues. I use a little more than suggested for peace of mind.

Used Torco in mine since mile one with EVO 240hp tune.. Zero issues. Also use Torco in my 210hp tuned Can Am...zero issues.

My tune company sold me my original tune saying it was developed using 91 octane non-oxygenated gas. I took that to mean I could run it WOT at will with no problems (and they confirmed that assumption is correct). And, if there were problems, I could only assume I got "bad gas (= less than 91 octane, watered down, etc.) OR my tune company was not really being honest. They said nothing to me about needing to run octane booster all the time to avoid deto. So, I don't. I have run WOT plenty of times with no deto. Very occasionally, I have seen knock lite after a gas fill. I have made the assumption that the gas I just bought was not 91. If/when that happens, I am ok with just backing down on fun flipper until I get back to 91+ octane.

Seems like you can't go wrong with any of them that are mentioned in this thread....Ok guys, opening up can of worms here but, what is best octane booster to use in our sleds with verified results from an independent source? If there are any? Yes, I searched forum without any definitive results. Also, best place to buy it from?

Agreed. I would prefer Torco but it becomes a PIA on the trail so the small individual Amsoil bottles work nice. I just drop two in at every fill and done.

Twenty years ago Torco sold their Accelerator occtane boost in 8oz cans luckily I kept a 1/2 dozen cans that I fill and carry one or two for rides.
An old can of Seafoam also is a good size for refilling with octane boost to carry on rides.
Works for me!
