Off-Season WR 450?

Check out the kawasaki KLR650 I had one of these bikes and it is a great dual sport bike.

I had one of these, no offense but it was a dog. Not worth a crap off road unless you consider off road a dirt road. Way too heavy and underpowered and outdated :ORC

I did not use it to climb hills and do jumps I used it on the prairie to check leases, on gravel roads and hiway. For this it was a great bike for a single banger four stroke liquid cooled engine. Sounds like you need a two stroke dirt bike.

That bike is perfect for what you just described. But if you want to ride off road theirs nothing like a YZ450 or WR450, just about as light as my old YZ250 2-smoke

Agree the Killer(aka KLR) is a great fire road bike. If you are mostly on fire roads and pavement that is a great bike. If you want to ride some single track than WR or EXC all the way.

Is the DRZ 400S a better off-road unit than the KLR? Looks as if it is lighter, and less power ofcourse!
