After a 100 mile ride the other day, I noticed quite a bit of oil buildup on my left front shock. Right one looked normal. They both seemed to act normal, but the abundance of oil caused some concern. Anything I should worry about? 2017 SRViper XTX SE with about 1000 miles, stock front shocks. Still under warranty, but I'd rather not be without the sled too long if possible. Dealer will take 7-10 days to do anything with it.

It looked like there was 1-2 tablespoons of oil on the shock, seems like a lot.

Dealer worked some magic, and I have a new shock under Yamaha warranty. Thanks Todd at Big Moose Yamaha and Y.E.S. warranty!
On new floats you won’t get much of a oil ring because they don’t use the float fluid in the air chamber anymore just grease on seals so yes internal shock probably leaked out. I still use the Float Fluid in air chamber to avoid a sticking shock so a ring on outside is normal should never be running down though. Glad they covered you!
