When changing the oil some got on that pad that sits under the muffler. I know how hot these mufflers run. Any suggestions to clean it or suggestions. I dont want my sled catching fire.

Oil doesn't ignite very easy . I wouldn't be to worried about it . If your exhaust outlet is glowing red hot u have bigger problems... lol

My ole mans winder caught on fire because that same reason . And that's when he was running a stock tune and trail riding. They got it out with no damage but just saying it can happen.

Removed the top part and threw it away, cleaned the remainder with solvent and pressure, dried it, then used aluminum tape to seal it, then taped it back in place.
My sled wreaked burned oil because it was all soaked in either gear or motor oil or both due to a negligent shop employee.
No more smells, so far so good.

Thanks everyone. I have some left over exhaust header wrap from my rice rocket. I am going to put that in there and maybe cover with aluminum tape. Just in case :) no fires for me
