OT: What's in your name?

Ummm sorry Deshkae, this guy I used to race with, "Mad-dog" Malone Called me "chubby" because I had love handles under my kidney belt. Half way into the season I lost about 30 pounds and he then lost the "H" in chubby and started calling me Cubby. Theres another story behind this name also, I have always had a kinda high flattop haircut,(and long in the back during the mullet days) and this guy said I look like the blonde haired "Cubby" from the old mickey mouse club (when it was in black and white with Annette Funacello) There was actually a guy named "Cubby" from that show and he had a flattop haircut. I hope this clears up everything about my stupid nickname that I havent been able to get rid of since 1984.---- cubby

RX-Wonder?

RX for well RX-1 :roll:

Wonder - 2 meanings in ONE :wink: ..it makes me WONDER how the hell they ever built this thing and WONder also sounds like ONEder I guess I could have also gone with RX-ONE'dr :lol: :lol:

I know...kinda dorky but I had it all last season as well so I stuck with it... :wink:

Ok, how many guys put a log through the sump cover????
Come on, can't just be me....be honest... :D
My name is extremely descriptive, and is a constant reminder to ride faster, which makes me pay close attention. The one ride I'm poking along with a farmer friend and his wife, I drive over a buried log. Normally, I'd have been sliding through that hedgerow, and the front would be up from acceleration transfer..at least enough to clear the log.
But it failed cool...engine started to lock, and went up in a huge cloud of oil smoke.
Made me sick. :cry:

Hey RX wonder..you making it to the Tug Hill ride next week?
Doesn't look like you're too far away...

Hey, so far we got chubby guys who lost weight, knee boarders, and "touched" people who were "wondering" how they missed that log.

Keep em coming guys!

OK, Honk is from my father. When I was a young kid,4or5 years old. I would honk with my voice, way down low like. He gave me the Honk nicename and it stuck. Everyone that has known me for a long time calls me Honk instead of my real name. See ya next week at the TY ride! LETS ROLL!! Honk

wizard- nickname I got in jr high after the black sabbath song of the same name, I was kind of shy back then. It stuck ever since 7th grade, some 20 years ago, wow the good ol days when all you had to worry about was homework and which girl liked you. lol!

I'm a guy and I ride a Yamaha now :wink:

:!: Besides, if anyone from Polaris checks this forum: 1. They'll see that I think Yamaha has a better snowmobile. 2. They lost an 8 year loyalist. "Refuse to take my sled on a trade will you?" (Imagine Homer Simpson saying that to himself without the doh!) :p :lol:

It may not be a cool name, but I thought I'd indicate where I'm coming from - from the looks of things the majority of you guys are die-hard Yamaha fans to begin with 8)

rxrider - I dreamt up that nick when I first joined rx1.info in 2002. I also ride bikes and I thought of the legendary movie Easy Rider, this led to rxrider. rx from my sled and rider from the movie title.

Blgs= Billings abreviated (Billings, Montana)
RX-1= just that
mtn= mountain edition

Put it all together and you have the city I live in and the model of sled I pilot.

I too am an "xpolarisguy" (since 1989). First yamaha sled ever but I amature raced YZs motocross for a couple years befor going to KXs in 1986.

I HAD a black RX-1m until I totalled it the other day. The 1st thing that came to mind was black sabbath so I used it. Now I have to come up with another name being I have a red RX-1m now. Just don't ask Spray or powder blue. I had another little accident so they want to use apple turnover. Kinda self explanatory. I am still looking for a good name.
