will it hurt my motor to slightly over fill my oil tank.and burn the oil due to over fill?when i checked it was like an inch over the fill line limit with out screwing dip stick in.
Are you talking about purposely adding too much oil? If so, you can't honestly think that is a good thing...

Better low than two full!!! I would pull some out if it was mine.

Not that I would do it but I don't see how it will hurt anything as you are checking the oil level in a tank that is external to the engine which supplies suction ti the oil pump.

Need room for the returning oil after expansion when hot. Probably alot of calculations and validation by Yamaha engineers on that oil volume and air volume in the tank. Is it worth the risk? If it were me, i'd get a length of hose and syphone out some oil.

May be a little messy but it's easy enough to take the drain out of the oil cooler and drain a little and quickly put the drain bolt back in.

Like I said not that I would do it. I would remove the oil, the siphon would work easiest I think.mbarryracing said:Need room for the returning oil after expansion when hot.
