Just noticed on page 19 of owners manual that the initial oil filter change is 300 miles, yet the initial oil should be changed at 500 miles. Wtf? I will do both at the same time when I do it. Is 500 about right for the first oil and filter change, or should it be done sooner at 300? Also, after the first filter replacement, they say to change filter at 12,500 mi intervals. I will not do that. Mine will get a filter every time. Probably overkill, but why not.

Change at 500 miles and then once a season is what I do.
