What would you do? Insurance wants to fix it, they don't think the damage is much more than cosmetic  ? Bent a-arms, bent shock mount, torn a-arm part on frame? Not to mention ALL the front plastic (hood, windshield, dash, bellypan including scratched sides) and the gauges!! If you ask me nothing is ever the same once it is completely taken apart and put back together with new parts. Just my opinion. I am not so hot on fixing it. So I thought if they think it can be fixed for so cheap, I might be better off taking the money and parting out what ever is left and good! I can imagine how much a fixed warrior would be worth!!! Either way I'm takin' it in the shorts on this one and I am pissed! Come on guys, lets hear some opinions!!

Ohh yeah, also the sled would not start afterwards. So there must be some stuff in front of the sled as far as ignition box or whatever that was also damaged! Man, just adding up the cost of parts in my head makes me think that alone would be over $3000! Insurance guy must be havin' them put some used parts on it! I don't know, somebody clue me in! My final estimate is due on Tuesday!
I dont think they can get away with using used parts my friend. I would let them fix it and be as fussy as possible and make sure they know about the unkowns that may have happened to the engine and carburators etc etc etc. Do you get what I am driving at?

I'd be interested in the motor if you part it out. Just bare motor no carbs, starter, or anything. Let me know. Maxdlx

If the damage is as you say, bulkhead, etc, its gonna be totalled. I'd take the dough, part out the rest and buy a new Attak.
Did they look at it? There is no way that a '04 warrior with broken bulkheads is not totaled. The labor alone would be more than the insurance company will offer
. Best of luck with your situation.

parts or repair
in my experience in the autobody world and small engine repair, the insurance company will totall out your sled at about 80% of its value.so if you sled is worth $5000 they will totall it out at $4000.you can usually buy it back pretty cheap.they are not going to give you $6000 to fox a $5000 sled.if i were you i woulf by it back and part it out.

They can and will put on used parts if they can find them if not they will either total it or put on new parts. Also you have the option for them to find you a replacement in same condition (before crash of course).
