Like cannon said. Check the cluster. I say that as the little boot on the bottom that covers the plug in May not be fully seated. Pull the boot right through the mount. Then pull your wiring through. Plug in. Once you set it set gauge on mount and screw it in double check the boot is seated into the gauge pod all the way. If yu look at the bottom where it plugs in, you can see the circuit board. Pretty vulnerable spot. Possible fog on the inside of the gauge?? If so, maybe that's the issue.I relocated the cluster and the wires under the upper panel shifted and one rubbed slightly.

Check your grounds. Had a weird intermittent er-1 last year, turned out to be the main ground wire connector from the battery. Also check your main ground blocks on the main harness just behind the radiator (there are two of them taped up in the harness). Could be a broken wire there.
