I have heard of people using Pledge or Armor All. I have ever tried it, but they say it works well.

I've been told that the Armor All or Pledge hides them pretty well. Try it out and let us know how it works.

Son o Gun (not sure about the spelling) is what I've been using and works well. I use it every time I wash it. I does repell the mud and water out on the trails pretty good.
