popping before he pull hard ?

I got a turbo on my03 rx1..

piston 10to 1 wiseco
pilot jet 15
main jet 135
i am sea level 0 to 2000 '
boost pressure at low 9lb and hi at 12lb
fuel pressure at 10lb
when i clam the throtle at full the engine popping until a bout 5500rpm
than he pull very hard ... :shock:

is there any body that have that problem.
cantthis du to fuel pressure or some parts or ajustment on my carb...

You also need to make sure your t's are sealed with 1104/Yamabond. It helped mine a lot.

These things like to be lean down low ,(at least mine does) MY needles are dropped all the way and fuel screws are 1 & 1/4 turns out ....132.5 mains...........All this assuming everything is sealed up properly...
 
Isn't the fuel pressure supposed to be set at 4-5 pounds before the boost comes on ? Ken
 
Guys, mine is still running lean in the middle. Today @ 2700-2900 ft elevation. 27F.

135 Mains, Needles raised 1 notch. (Clip dropped one). stock pilots @ 2 turns out. 300 in pitot. With a 300 in the pitot it feels a little rich coming off idle, but temp guage goes up too fast with a 400 pitot.

Still wants to hit 1300 on a 65-75 MPH cruise, with a 300 pitot jet. As soon as the guage starts to flash @ 1300 I back off and blip the throttle a couple of times and temp drops right down to 1250 - 1260.

On A hard pull from a stop, it still feels rich on the mains. Starts to gurgle if I go full throttle, from a stop.

Bender is sending me a set of 15 pilots to be run at 2 turns off seat. they said that it will lean out my just off idle but will permit me to raise the needles one more notch to cool down the mid range curise.

Don't know if I'll gey to test it this season.

Showing 12 lbs fuel pressure @ 6 lbs boost, 5 lbs fuel pressure @ idle.idle.
