power for the meth control box

where are you guys running the red power wire from the meth control box too on an rx1.i am having issues with my install.i have the ground grounded to the front under the intercooler and the green wire on the controller wired to the led light,the solenoid and the meth pump .i have the solenoid grounded and the meth pump grounded also.this is what happens to the sled,i turn it on and the pump comes on and the led light also comes on ,but goes away after the sled is running.i have the red wire from the controller hooked up to the fuel pump red wire,which would be the positive on the pump.should the solenoid also make a sound because i dont hear anything from the solenoid.i tried to pump air into the vacuum line on the controller to get it to squirt some fluid and it doesnt work.the led also didnt flash and stay on also.what am i doing wrong .thanks for any help .fern.

well i am getting somewhere now.i hooked up the red wire from the control box to the red and white coming off the fuse box .now when i start the sled i get a big stream of windshied washer fluid come out and then it stops .i still tried the vacuum hose on the controller and still no led lights come on not even fluid coming out also.do you think the solonoid is not working i cant see it not working because i unplugged the line from the intercooler to the solonoid and this is where i am getting the big stream of fluid.something isnt right .all the wiring is done right and plumbed right .i dont get it .let me know .thanks.

anybody with meth,should the meth pump and light come on as soon as the sled starts and then goes away.also should the small solonoid make any noise as mine isnt.thanks for any advice guys .

Definativelly , the solonoid should make a small noise. I tested mine last year and it did.

You will want the relay to trigger off the load control relay power, thats the blue/white wire I think. It will see power after the RPM hits 700 and your lights turn on. Yes the led light will blink when it starts. I is a good idea to run shop air through a regulator to the box when powered and make sure all nozzles fire normal and where you have it set on the box. what relay are you taking about .do you mean the control box.this is how it is wired ,the black goes to ground ,the green goes to the solonoid ,the led light and the meth pump.the meth pump and solonoid are grounded also.this is how it is plumbed,it goes from the reservoir to the pump and then from the pump to the solonoid and then from the solonoid to the 4 nozzles.this is a hurricane kit also.i am stunned on this one.mr fusion is the meth pump and led suppose to make noise and light up when it first starts up the sled.thanks for the help guys.

Which wire do you have triggering the relay for the meth pump? The pump shouldnt turn on until you hit the setting you have on the control box. When I started my machine the pump wouldnt come on at all but the led light would blip for a second. You would have to pressure up the system to the set turn on with a pressure pump then the led light will come on as the pump turns on. There is a relay or you can trace through the fuse box the blue/white wire or just use your headlight blue wire as the turn on for you meth solonoid. This wire doesnt see power until the rpm hits 700 or so. Shad

the meth pump is wired to the green wire on the control box .the led and solonoid are also wired to the green on the black control box.thanks for the help shad.

here is what i get.when i hook it up to straight power it sprays ,then it stops.i then try to put air to the vacuum and it doesnt work.i got the solonoid making noise so i know it works.plus it is spraying so it works just doesnt work when i put air pressure on .still looking for advice .thanks for the replies.

i kinda thinking the control box is fubar because when i hook it up to straight power ,it sprays and then stops.i then try to pump air into the control box and nothing works .i know it is getting psi because the gauge i am using is holdilng air steady. this is pissing me off now.thanks for the help.

In your test, how much air are you supplying it? I remember it took at least 8-10 psi.

Fern the solenoid is a upgrade (optional) it is only required if the nozzle is to be installed after the intake throttle plate ,or the fluid reservoir is mounted higher then the nozzle.In your case you don t need it .
