I want to instal a 12v plug in on my rx1 to use a gps. What is the best way to do this. Can I come straight off the battery with a fuse to the socket plug?

You could do that. Another option would be to visit a site like www.mountguys.com and search for the "bare wire plug" that is made for your GPS. Then you wouldn't have to use a 12v socket that you have to find a place to mount or tie to the frame that could come loose.

Check over on the left side there might be a plug there for a accessories plug like the ones that are on the apexs . When I did my brother in laws I think the plug was there all we had to do was cut a hole in the in the cover gas tank

This is a new product that Rockmeister at yamaheater has come up with with complete versatility for all products to plug in to it called Smart Supply. If I had to hook up a new plug I think this would be a good way to go because it does it all at the same time heated visor,Gps and charge my iphone

This looks really cool. How does it install? Do you wire direct to the battery? Or does it plug into the wire harness somewhere? No price on Site any idea on cost?

Good call, I forgot about this!

$55.00 US at the bottom of the page in the drop down menu and it says plug and play

Put it in your cart and you'll see the price, $55 US.
Just ordered one myself.

I got mine from Rockmeister at the Big East show last month. Just told him what sled I had and he sent it with the right plugs to plug and play. No cutting or splicing needed. Haven't installed it yet, but plugs right into wires from handlebars.
