prefilter hack?

Hey guys, last year in a cataclysmic crash I lost the prefilter off the intake for my turbo. I've ordered a replacement (weeks ago!) and it's still weeks away but we've got plenty of snow and I'd really like to get out with some friends this weekend. Is there anything you guys know of that would work for a day or two pinch hitting for the original material that I could use?

You have the filter without the prefilter mesh? If so then just run it. Otherwise another option might be some screen material from a hardware store and wrap it in that just so the snow falls off of it.
