Still undecided as to which way to go. Only bad thing I have heard about hte Expert is the shocks, only bad thing on the M-10 is the hook up. I plan on changing to a 1-1/4" track, probably Ripsaw and will ocassionally be draggin at the end of the day with the boys on the lake. Also, I heard from some that simply changing the shocks made it good enough. If 90% of riding is relatively well groomed trails and the other 10% is spent drag racing which is the better way to go? Pricing also will play a factor, so anyone who has an in on pricing let me know. Anything available used would also be considered. Any input appreciated, thanks in advance.
MPH
With Identical clutching except for a stiff primary"which huirt my topend" the a M10 RX-1 was 5 to 6 mph slower in the same distances on GPS as my expert X RX-1. I would say there is a 2 to 4 mph gain to be had on top of the 5 to 6 MPH that's already there. Not mention I crossed that line 10 sleds ahaid of the M10 sled.
I can get you pricing. I'm also going to be replacing my shocks with Elka shocks that we'll sell as a replacement for all Expert X skids.

NHRX1, I haven't ridden a m-10 RX1 but I put the expert in mine last year and there is no comparison to the stock skid. The hook up and weight transfer are incredible. If you crank the adjustment Knob down(which is very easy to do) you can lift the front end 3 feet off the ground when you pin it. I am running a 1.25 camo 9854 with no studs. Ride was great in the stutter and small bumps, but it can buck you around with rebound in the big moguls. I am thinking of revalving the shocks to take care of this. This skid looks way cool in the RX1, is easy to install(a air rivet gun comes in handy) and is very well made. I was able to get a close to end of season deal on mine for $1250.

jtssrx, tell me more about these elka shocks. What improvement over stock do they make. Have you ever tried revalving stock kyb shocks. If so what did you do and what difference did it make. SinjinRX1
The Elka shocks will have rebound and dampining adjustments that will allow you to leave the spring tension down. When you get into big bumps not only do you need to jack it up but you have to tighten the springs. with a good shock you'll be able to leave it in the middle hight wise and run it through any bump!!!
We've revalved the KYB shocks and the trouble is there a 75.00 dollar shock. There just not good enough!!!

I'll throw this out there as another option. Talked to Works Performance yesterday as I am in the same dilemna. I was originally going M10, but I figured with the 136 if I were to get a higher quality shock that the ride should improve dramatically over the stock.
Works has both shocks. Front one runs 259, the rear Duracross shock with adjustable valving sells for 599.00. I tried to find some dealers up in this neck of the woods, couldn't so I'm setting up my own. These are Works prices, so I'd probably be able to chop a little off of that when I get set up.
Let me know if anyone has interest, I'll see what I can do.

Anyone come up with a price on one? It needs to get purcahsed soon so my wife doesn;t notice the boxes starting to come in during the fall. If it's in the garage prior to labor day it's like I never really bought it, someone must have left it there.
NHRX1: Email me your phone number.I call you to find out what you want to spend and what you can get for that ammount

So Jason, I take it you will be able to get the Expert-X with Elka shocks in it. If so I think I would be interested. THis is starting to get expensive, BUT fun though.
