08 Nytro Rtx primary drive clutch, secondary driven clutch, side panel and side panel that fastens to ALL THRASHED! Annoying and spendy. Ruined my trip as well.

Got a replacement primary because that and holes in belly (side cover) and side cover keeping me from riding currently.

Need to find a clutch puller in Minneapolis area. Still need secondary clutch. May need the plastic part the side panel mounts to as well if the plastic welding doesn’t hold up etc? Anyone got any of the above?

should I build a metal plate and rivet it to the inside of the plastic panel that is under clutches to reinforce all? Kinda thinking so?? Got before and after pics but can’t upload them file size too large and not sure how to fix that.

you need to use a re sizing app. i am not good at it so other will have to point you in the right direction.

Wow... Did belt blow and tear out the aluminum guard or did the clutch itself blow apart? I have heard of a belt parting and crunching the alum guard under the belt and then pulling the plastic with it, but not an actual clutch disintegration...

I had it happen on my nitro.
The spider had cracked starting down where it molds to the steel inner portion.
The crack traveled outward and then the one roller arm broke right off at full throttle.
I thought I blew the engine, the sled shook and vibrated violently.

Crazy! Could you see the crack prior to the event or it just went on you?

When I left on that ride, I noticed the sled kept tapping the limiter, which I found a little odd.
About 8 miles into that ride it let go.
So I think it was cracked when I headed out and the cracked spider was causing clutch to bind, that's why I was tapping the limiter.

Guard still there and mint shape. Clutch let go. Lost a third of the front of it and shot it out plastics on bottom.

Sounded like you were describing me and my thoughts when it let go! Thought maybe I broke a motor mount even. Was HORRIBLE!!

On the nytro while running the 8dn belt I found I had to keep cleaning the clutch sheave faces to keep the belt from slipping. If I didn't clean them the belt would slip and hit the rev limiter creating heat and crack the spider. I broke two of them.
Clean your clutches often then clutch and belt life gets longer.
At least every 300-400 miles clean them.

What do you clean and scuff clutches with? I run softer belt so won’t slip as much as stock.

I use red scotch brite pads.
