What will a 3mm clutch spring shim do to engagement for rpms?

SX 700 primary.

200 rpm? 300 rpm?

It should raise the rpm by 300. That the max you can use.

Was hoping for 300, but wasn't sure.

It's the only shim I could find in my box... threw out a bunch of crap months ago & must of threw out too many things. Never fails...

What is the most a guy should add for shims on both sides of the spring?

I was taught no more than 3mm total

Well we love our shift rate, but need 500 more rpm engagement without any shims.

Whats the best way to solve that....?

So get a higher rate at engagement with the same sift rate or close to what you need if you are drag racing just call bender or haulk they will have what you need,
