Went to sneak peek today and the tech rep said production is set to begin on October first. They will have yamaha quality control on the floor and also told me they have been working with cat for two years and many of the changes made to the cat chassis came from yamaha engineers.

That production date can work for North America (not being crated, put in containers, shipped across the Pacific, off loaded, taken out of the containers, loaded on trucks and in my case 2400 K to my dealer) as opposed to, on a truck 800 K and a boarder between me and the plant. The problem may be the Europen customers, the reverse of Japan to me.

The rep told me that they would take delivery in August or September. So much conflicting info lol. No biggey anyway as there will no snow when we do receive it.

It must be a conspiracy! Lol! They don't want us to know so we can't send in any spy's.

exactly lol. they did tell me the mapping is still not done. The white and blue viper will come with white rails they said not black. Chaincase has different gears and chain than cat. The red panels are a bit light on the one I saw. The sleds overall looked pretty good. I asked if they would change the cotter pin with dzeus and they said no. No tuner skis, they are coming with cat skis.

I like the cotter pin, reminds me of the pins on the F-18s I used to work on.

Well as long as they hold up. looking forward to riding it as when I sat on it the ergos were bang on for me.

Man I hope the rails are going to be black....I wouldn't like the white rails

If that's true, I'm pumped! I was gonna paint the rails white anyway. Gonna be a hot lookin sled!!!

I have quit worrying about the color or such. Is what it is. Been thinking about paying it off and saving, selling and such to do it. I hate loans even at the great rate they offered. If all goes well and nothing needs major repair around house I think I can do it. Sold
Jet Ski last week and working on SRX. Will be selling a nice XR50 dirtbike too.

Too much conflicting information, about technical information as well as dates. If you are going to lie, at least make sure your sales reps are telling the same lie...
I am not sure anyone is "lying" about anything. I just think there is a lot that is undertermined.

Yes ,,,I don't think they are going to change anything but mapping and clutching....what you see in photo's is what you get Yamaha has never changed paint or anything like that .....if you get the blue/white it will look just like that pic , if you get the red/black it will look just like the pic ...ect. ect.

I was told by the reps at sneak peek that they are trying to change some small stuff like the way the front of the seat fits and they are trying to put a back latch on the seat like their watercraft has. Otherwise the only other thing I thought they needed to finish off was getting "Arctic Cat" off of all the plastic, muffler and other shared components. But maybe they will leave that on there kinda like marking their territory.
