QS3 shocks

Se shocks are rebound only a little knob on bottom like X package ski doo. QSR3 have the three way selector + piggyback and rebound

OK, so is the general consensus that i should get the QS3 shocks if i have the money? I'm an aggressive trail rider that goes on 300 mile trips, but i'm 49 this year & sometimes a plusher ride is in order. CAN I MAKE THESE QS3 shocks ride nice also?

From what I have been reading, they are pretty soft and compliant on setting 1, 2 is more like the valving on the se models and 3 is set up as stiff as the RR sleds from cat. Should be a good all around set up. My dealer raves about them and swears they are worth the money for the upgrade. I played with last years version in the show room on a 16'. On 1 you could move the front of the sled as easily as my DX, 2 was a noticeable difference and 3 was really stiff.

Why not just send the SE shocks to Hygear and have them set up for your style for a couple hundred bucks? Save the
$1300 difference?

Reason I like them is for the days when I don't feel like hitting every bump as hard as I can. Just dial em down and go. If I send my shocks out to get valved for my riding style they would be much to stiff for the cruise days

Does the QS3 in rear of the SW LTX LE also offer the 3 position dampening?

Assume just the rear not the center correct ?

All Qs3 shocks have the three way clicker

The LE offers more than just the best shocks on the market when compared to the SE, plus it is only available to order now, as with all LE sleds.
Heated seat.
RR suspension which is coupled.
And the all BLUE.

i just did 5000 km on a 2016 zr8000 with the QS3 shocks on, i know the sidewinder will be different but i also rode the zr9000 with those shocks and it quite similar: the front is great, you don't need anything more set to 1 its plush, 2 sport, 3 darn stiff. so your ride on 1 or 2 unless you want pain.
The rear is not as good. The center shock is not a QS3, so i can't say, the rear is good but bottoms out too easily, even on set 3 , its just stiff on 3 for nothing. The reboud compression is not sufficient, so if you ride on 1 with proper preload on the torsion, you rebound too fast. they lack that rebound control. Now the QS3-R will then be perfect you might think, well,, the one or 2 poeple i know that tried them said they where way too stiff , a lot more then the regular QS3. so i don't know what valving they will have in 2017 and i am waiting to see, but if they are valved correctly, they will be indeed near perfect .. I personally think 3 clicks is not enough and prefer more adjustability of the after market, but for a OEM shock, they are near the top , and only the FOX Evol RC2 full adjustables are better IMO..

after 2 years on R-motion with X packages, the front is as good but the rear is lacking a little confort and bottom out control vs the Rmotion X
