2nd in a series of silly questions. (the video series will be available from Columbia House by this time next year, LOL)
See picture...I am re-vamping the cooling system a bit on my new-to me Nytro. It has running board coolers and a rear tunnel cooler with the rad deleted. The thing I didn't like was it had an in-line rad cap assembly that had a coolant overflow to the stock tank. The stock overflow tank is impossible to get to with the intercooler in there. SO...I am putting a surge tank in-line that will sit to one side of the steering column where the rad used to be and getting rid of the in-line cap.
ANYWAYS...this involves undoing some wire ties to get at things (GAWD it's like a Ford in there!!LOL) I found a big taped up harness with two wires that never went to anything. I untpaed it and found the connector shown in the pic. The wires to this connector fell off when I took the tape off. I traced it back, and it goes into the harness that plugs into the MCX control box. Any ideas what it is? (maybe a fan controller?) Can I shorten it an lose it?
