I have been forced to cancel some part on my Fly purchase order. Too much backorder, and no sign that i will have them. Buy on august 19th, have only receive the riser. Backorder until 25 november. i have buy another bar, Pro taper.

For the pivot i'm thinking to use stock clamp and a piece of 1/2 sched 40 rond tubing in 6061. I have use the stock grab strap

Tundra, Who did you order your bars from? I ordered mine from Factory Team 2 www.factoryteam2racing.com/store5.asp You might give them a try and see if they can get them across the boarder for you at a decent price. their telephone number is at the bottom of their web site.

Tundra,I sell a 6"longer cable for the RX-1,fits perfect for a five inch taller riser.I've found that the articulating riser works great.

It's ok for the cable, i have one, my problem was with the pivot, i will do like Climbmax, except i will use alu Tube.

Thanks

Well I got my bars/riser installed, got the wiring re-done and wrapped in red wire loom ;)! . Now all I need is my parts from MPI to show up :o| .

my hook does'nt fit too. :D But i'm not gonna put one, i do not use it enough. I will buy some rubber plug to fill the hole.

60 $ US for me will cost way to much, 60 + transport + customs + exchange rate will be about 150 $. I will check for someone to made one.

Is someone know who making one this side of the border ?

Ray, you're funny (looking :moon: ). Actually they're just right. I don't know how you tall fellas do it (reach the bars while standing). You all must be able to scratch your knees without bending over at the waist or you don't ride fully upright (cro-magnon style). I like to be able to stand without crouching down and this setup makes it just right. ;)!

Still seriously thinking about the Stage 1 before Feb. but we'll see.

How do the stock grips come off the stock bars?? Aren't they glued on?? Do you just slide the old grips on the Fly bars and put hooks on???

Clueless...

I drilled the rivets out then, used a really thin flat tip screw driver and carefully worked about half the grip loose. Then, I just twisted in the grip until it was completely free. To stick them to the Fly bars; I cleaned the inside of the grips the best I could. I then used a course grit (400 I think) sand paper to rough up the bars a little and, cleaned the bars with warm soapy water and dried them. Then, I applied glue to the inside of the grips grips, worked them on and off, applied more glue and re-riveted them on. Lastly, I inserted the Fly 45 deg billet hooks.

I used JB weld to adhere the grips to the new bars. Hot grips web site (OEM grips for Yamaha) recommends a slow cure epoxy such as JB Weld to adhere the grips since, it has high heat tolerances. Quick cure epoxy is less heat resistant and, will loose adheasion because of the heat from the hand warmers in combination with the force you exert on the bars while riding.

me i have plug the handwarmer directly on a battery, when hot enough, i started to twist them, it took about 1 to 2 min by side to remove them. but rivet has to be removed before
