Question on gearing

09 xtx with stock gears and have been thinking about a trip to the Upper Penninsula. Hoping with my recent mods, and a clutch kit to come, i will get better top speed but would it make sense to gear up one tooth? How much faster would it change top speed? I would just like to be able to keep up with them long legged apexes a little better.

Ran 114 mph gps on stock gears and 112 mph gps with 22/39, same conditions. Running 23/39 for now. Need time to make some speed runs and compare between 21,22 and 23. So far 21 is faster.

Rikman how much tuning did you have to do with your clutch kit from ulmers? First time i rode with my mods was last night and it deffinatly has more power but im hitting like 9,200 rpms all that power and im not getting satisfaction

Your hitting 9200 rpm on take off or on top end?

Ha idk antwhere between 50 and 70 i guess all i was watching was the tach, not spped
