Questions about your better boards.

I am building a set of running boards for my phazer mtx, similar to f-bombs better boards. My questions are for those people who have installed them or the snow eliminators. About how thick of aluminum are they made from? When you installed them, did you cut out individual holes or did you cut the entire board out? I love everything about the phazer except the running boards! I would appreciate any help and info that will help me with this.

I cut the whole baords out but I didn't have much choice mine were pretty mangled

do you think that you gave up any structural integrity buy doing that? If you were to do it with boards in good shape would you do it the same way? I just need to decide if the there will be a noticeable strength gain by leaving strips under the new boards.
