The driveshaft diameter on the Apex is 1 1/16" or 1.6025" correct?
Also I am looking to buy 8 tooth extrovert drivers for my Apex. Does Doo make 8 tooth extroverts or do they only make 9 tooth. Does the mountain Apex or the Nytro MTX use 8 tooth extroverts?
Any help is appreciated

They are 1 1/16" or 1.0625. Someone was a little dyslexic with the numbers. Been there, done that.
I am not an expert on the matter, but I do not believe Doo made 8 tooth extrovert drivers with a 2.52 pitch. I know there was quite a thread on this topic a few years ago. Use the search function to find it. I also believe I head somewhere on TY, certain doo extroverts were no longer available. Can someone confirm?
The Yamaha mountain machines come with 7 tooth drivers, but they were 3.0 pitch. Make sure the track you plan on picking up and trimming has the correct pitch or that you have the correct drivers for the new track.
2.52. 3.0, and now 2.86 are all the various pitches used by the different manufactures.

Yea, I think whatever track I find, I will just end up buying the Wahl 8 tooth extoverts. I think I will stick to a 2.52" drive pitch.

thegrizzly1, you don't run any kind of anti stab wheel kit with the ZX-2 and the smaller 8 tooth drivers to keep the track from stabbing the rails do you?
No, nothing special. My 8 tooth drivers are conventional, and my challenger is not open every window. I only use it 2 weeks out of the season if that. I think the geometry of the ZX-2 skid makes it less prone to stabbing. If you were concerned, you could suck up the limiter strap a little. I don't have any pictures on my computer, but I believe the rail tips on the ZX-2 are a little farther from the drivers than on a stock skid.

You can not use extroverts with that track unless you open up all of the windows. Some people have used utility knives, some chisles, and others have gotten more creative yet. I have personally never opened up a track myself. There are a number of posts on how to open up the windows on a track and I'm sure lots of people could give suggestions on how they have done it.

That was just a track I was looking at buying, luckily I did not. I am just going to wait and look for a good deal on a track with all open windows and one that is fully clipped.
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
