has anybody had trouble with the blower fan underneath the radiator? My sled started smoking out of the hood by radiator and top of radiator was hot and bottom of radiator was not. I noticed after a few minutes I didnt hear the fan kick on. i took off side cover with machine off of course, and spun the plastic fan fins by hand and it seemed to spin freely. I fired up sled and then the fan worked again and problem of smoking was gone. I dont want to just slap a new fan in because they are around 180.00. Any ideas on how to check old fan to make sure its still good?

My fan won't run till temp. gets to about 197f.

And if top and bottom of rad were different temps wasn’t circulating. Run it. See what happens.

yes I ran it and fan kicked on at 197 degrees and radiator temp seemed normal top to bottom. My concern is why the fan didnt kick on the one time when it started smoking and radiator temp seemed twice as hot on top than on bottom. who knows maybe debris got in fan area and came loose when I spun it by hand. I tried it several time today and it worked as it should every time. the overheat light never flashed even when it didnt kick on and was smoking.

Probably was air in system and it worked its way out. Just look for leaks but sounds like your good to go now.yes I ran it and fan kicked on at 197 degrees and radiator temp seemed normal top to bottom.
